Interesting statistic

Kelton had his 6 month check-up today with the pediatrician. I suppose that's redundant, though. I mean, it's not like I was going to say that he had his 6-month check-up with the vet or something like that. Anyhoo....We were discussing his apparent disinterest in baby food. The pedi told us that studies have shown the average child will have to taste a new food 27 times before they decide whether they like it or not. That's an average child...not even a picky eater! And she said that changing foods too many times just because he appears to not like the taste can foster a picky eater. He just sat there and grinned the whole time. So, now I'm debating what to try this evening - provided he's not feeling bad from those stupid shots. Should we stick with sweet potaotes and squash or should I try the green beans? And can I really foster a picky eater when his only choice is vegetable, vegetable, or - let's see - vegetable?

Ahh! That's been our biggest battle..food! I can't believe this child came from me, someone who wants to eat everything! She would only eat sweet potato, carrots, and squash! I loved when we went to Step2(i think) they had Brocolli/Chicken and she LOVED it! Good luck!
