Giving Credit Where Credit is Due

Since I am on a quest to improve this blog's reading level, then I must cite my sources as I was properly taught in high school English. In one of the previous blogs, I quoted from another blog and could not share with you where I read the phrase due to severe impairment of my mental faculties from lack of sleep. Mama Kat left me a sweet note to kindly remind me that it was from her genious that the most appropriate phrase sprang from. To further give credit, I've used the phrase "like a cat on crack" about a dozen times since yesterday morning. I'm sure I will tire of it soon, but for now I happen to like its ring! Thanks! And thank you for leaving a comment on my blog! I get warm fuzzies when that happens. Just to clarify, they are not like the warm fuzzies I find occupying spots in the hallway.

TODAY'S WORD:
apprise \uh-PRYZ\, transitive verb: To give notice to; to inform; -- often followed by of; as, we will apprise the general of an intended attack; he apprised the commander of what he had done.

And by the way, I think my blog just should jump a reading level just by virtue of the fact that I have the word "transitive" in today's post.
