Baby Food, Take 5

I think this is the right "Take". I'll have to go back and check my numbering. Hubby went for a little guys' night out last night, so K-man and I were getting some good ole mommy-and-me time. His new fascination are the colored rings that we set on his high chair tray. He'll work really hard at picking one up, banging it on the tray, and then sticking it in the seat next to him...and he'll repeat until the tray is clear.

I needed to wash bottles and boil all the nipples and pacifiers, so I got him set up in his high chair with the colored rings. About half a minute after I submersed all of the nipples in a rolling boil, I realized that it was time to eat again for the little guy. So, I dug around and found the sippy cups I bought a few weeks ago that have the soft tops (like a bottle nipple, only it's a sippy top). I thought, "what the heck?" and figured it would at least entertain him long enough to get a sterile bottle ready. Well, he thought that sippy cup was pretty cool and went to work on it right away. I also got out sweet potatoes again and got a little of those in his mouth between sippy cup attacks. Out of the 6 ounces I put in the cup, I poured out 2. So, he took care of 4 ounces...I think most of it went into his mouth, but judging by the bath I had to give him, a fair share of the formula and the sweet potatoes made it on his clothes. We'll be trying that again tonight.
