Happy (late) Mother's Day to all mommies! My wonderful, superb, thoughtful Hubby bought me a spa package and flowers! Kelton even signed the mother's day card...scribbled, but signed. I loved it! Know what else baby did for mother's day? He worked on teething! Oh giggles and grins, our little boy is working on cutting some teeth and we're paying the dividends for it. He cried, he fussed, he wiggled, he kicked, he screamed, he slept, he woke up, he ate, he didn't eat, he gnawed, and gnawed and gnawed and drooled like a mad dog. We didn't get the satisfaction of seeing any cute little teeth emerge, but we did manage to lose some precious sleep since he woke up about every 45 minutes last night with a shrill wail because his pacifier had fallen out. Wanna know how fast I can sprint from our room to his crib when he's making a sound to rival an ambulance? Pretteeeee darn fast! Wanna know how often I considered taping that pacifier to his mouth? yup...every time I sprinted out of bed. Not that I would really do that, but when you're sleep deprived and tired of imitating the running man, those haphazard thoughts do cross your mind.
The past five and a half months have been a blur of diapers, doctor appointments, bottles, lost sleep, pacifiers, crying spells, and laundry. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. I love that little guy! Thank you, Hubby, for this incredible gift we share!
