Many uses....

The post on WD-40 and duct tape got me thinking...

  • Duct tape is great for wrapping leaky faucets for a quick fix...that you forget about for several months.

  • WD-40 makes a great starter fluid for wet mesquite in the bbq pit - just stand back or you'll singe some arm hairs.

  • Duct tape and baling wire can fix a pair of tennis shoes

  • Goats like to nibble on your shoelaces while you try to implement a new use for baling wire and duct tape. Hence the reason you'll need both to repair your shoes.

  • Duct tape and gauze wrap make pretty good ankle wraps for goats who have foundered (even after the vet said that you can't founder a goat)

  • Don't put duct tape on the bottom of a cat's feet

  • Don't put duct tape on your arms unless you're looking for a way to avoid shaving them for the next few months

  • Duct tape also patches up holes in water hoses...for a while. You'll notice you have a sprinkler system in your hose by the end of the summer when all the tape has worn out.

  • Don't spray the door hinges on your vehicle with WD-40 and then ride in it without any ventilation on.

  • You can check the charge on the car battery by connecting the posts with a piece of baling wire. If it's a live battery, you'll burn your fingers and say cuss words as you drop the piece of hot metal that resulted from the electrical current. (my grandfather taught me that)

  • Duct tape on the roll lasts forever. Why can't other stuff?

  • WD-4o is good for removing the sticky left behind by duct tape after you're finished with it

  • Baling wire is great for securing a big stick to a goat's horns so they'll quit sticking their darn head through the stupid fence and getting stuck.

  • Duct tape makes a good pair of gloves when you've realized that you have a blister forming on your hand.

  • Duct tape removes blisters (hence the reason you really don't want to use it for gloves)

One of my favorite duct tape websites...

Love the post! Duct tape uses always remind me of my late grandfather. He used it for everything, including patching up holes in the soles of slippers when he couldn't part with a beloved pair.
