This was a good Valentine's weekend. Hubby did good...flowers, card, necklace, and a cake. I would have been happy with a card and a Hershey's bar, but he likes to do it up special. He's a sweety that way. He also has an interesting sense of hearing. We finally made it out of the house yesterday afternoon after a 2 hour nap (woot! woot!). With little man buckled in his car seat, we pulled out of the garage and went grocery shopping. Bought some fresh sushi and will be trying it this evening. Will post on that after I figure out if I like it or not. We got the groceries loaded in the vehicle, Bobo buckled in his seat, and then I plopped down in the passenger seat and started crying. Darn blood sugar was waaaaay low and Hubby zoomed us over to a little cafe. Out came two tuna fish sandwiches and sweet potato fries...Hubby to the rescue!
After regaining my composure, we headed over to a friend's house. On the way, we passed by this colossal specimen of a public high school. It's just plain crazy, folks. Teenagers don't need a freaking college campus for high school. They don't need a fancy four story brick building to learn their basic mathematics and English. Maybe if the system spent more on books and tutoring than on the buildings, the students might benefit from it. (side rant) Anyhoo, as we drove by I commented that they had a really nice tennis courts. Hubby furrowed his brow and looked at me with wide eyes. "What did you say?!", he exclaimed. "I said they have nice tennis courts, why?" "OOOH!! I thought you said something about having tuna squirts!" One word...EEEEWWWWWWWWW.
