I blame it on my cold
This cold is getting to me. Last night I gave the baby a bath. He's discovered how much fun it is to wiggle all around the bathtub, and it's a constant battle over keeping him seated when he'd rather be standing. (any suggestions?) The hubster was in and out of the bathroom while I was chasing the little water bug around the tub. When it was finally time to get him out of the tub, Hubby got the big towel and was ready to receive the sudsy child. I told K'man to sit up - to which he'll sit, straighten up, and lift him arms up for me. Then I said, "Good dog....err...baby!". My husband looked at me and snickered and said, "You just called our baby a dog!!" Yeah yeah...I'm blaming that on all this junk residing in my sinuses - that's gotta affect a person's ability to think clearly, right?

Good dog? Ha, that's a good one. You are never going to live it down though.
About your bottle comment on my blog. Yes, that is a bottle that Michael is drinking out of. He weighed almost 10 pounds at birth, so it was difficult for me to watch him drop to the 10th percentile for weight when he was 12 months old. The Dr. was never concerned, however the fact that Michael would eat almost no food and refused a sippy made me very nervous. I didn't want to take away the one thing that I knew would work.
By two, he had put a little meat on his bones, and I was ready to take the bottle away, but I quickly learned that taking a bottle away from a 2 year old is really not fun.
I do feel I made the right decision at the time, and don't regret it. But, I will caution you that if you do hang on to the bottle up to 18 months, you can probably expect it to stay around for a good long while after that.
