Holy cow! I'm blogging from my blackberry! It's some time after 9:30 pm on
Friday night and we just passed through Post, TX. Do you know where Post, TX is? It's in the middle of NOWHERE!!! And there's n-o-t-h-i-n-g going on except the twinkling Christmas lights. Now, albeit I would love to live somewhere like this, but after a whole day at work, three weeks of broken sleep, a sleepy hubby driving, and a baby who cries every 15 minutes even though I'm sitting in the backseat right next to him --- I need something to look at!! Come on, doesn't anyone streak through the middle of town anymore with nothing on but boots and a santa hat??
Note to self - try to restrict travel with the baby to daaaaylight hours as he's afraid of the darkened windows at night. No, the overhead cabin light doesn't help.
I hope those are some freaking dead geese tomorrow morning after tonight's trip. We pulled over in the wal-mart parking lot in Sweetwater to change K-man's dipe and to stretch our legs. Me and my paranoid self kept thinking, "We're gonna get mugged! I'm gonna kick someone's asssss if they try anything! Geez it's cold out here! OH! This bra wasn't built for bouncing! Victoria's secret my asssss!".
So, here we ride passing the 248th 18 wheeler we've seen since leaving the metroplex...if anyone passes gas in this vehicle, I think I'll start walking.

Been through Post many times on the way to or from "The Hub City". You know that town was started by C.W. Post as a utopia. Kind of missed it didn't he? But ... if you pass through in the day there are some breathtaking vistas of the caprock.

The good thing is that there will come a time when you can travel without little people crying in the back seat. On my trip to Alabama the Mapquest sent us down through Missouri on not quite Interstate roads. Guess what? Few trucks and almost no traffic. The short stretches through Memphis taught us that the Interstate is not a great place to travel unless you have to. MUD
What kinda BlackBerry do you have? I may need to get a smartphone soon and am researching some possible phones.
I don't want to spend the money, though.

Moose,
It's my company phone...the c-h-e-a-p-e-s-t one there is out there...not even a camera on it. And get this, I can't even see picture messages on the phone, I have to go to the verizon website. POC. Anyhoo...I've had the Trio with another company, my husband has a really nice BB, and we've heard a lot of friends' comments about the IPhone. My husband's niece-in-law (???) works for Sprint and didn't have anything good to say about the IPhone...it's way too sensitive and too easy to call someone even when you're just browsing through the address book. My Trio was a touch pad - I hated it. All in all, if I was buying a personal phone, I'd probably get as nice a BB as I can without the touch screen. But that's just me...touch screens on the phones drive me nuts.
Hmmm...doesn't sound like a fun car ride! EEK!
