I tried my hand at falafel for the first time last weekend. It was a kit...add water...let stand...form into patties...fry...eat. Maybe I don't know what good falafel tastes like, but I really enjoyed this. I didn't have any yogurt or tahinia or cucumbers, so to go with my concoction I broke out the bottle of catalina dressing. Ummmm...YUM! Facified ketchup. How southernly middle eastern.
