I'm learning...

On Saturday, I took K-man out and about and am working on teaching him about walking in stores and minding his manners. You know, like how we don’t pull on the big package with the King size comforter in it at Bed Bath and Beyond because it will topple down on top of our head – and how we don’t run from mama with a little quirky grin on our face in the middle of trying on little boy shoes – and how once mama has had enough, she will pick a little boy up like a sack of feed under her right arm and tote said little boy right out of the store with her sunglasses half fallen back on to her nose, her hair dangling in her face (why didn’t I wear a ponytail?), and the ever present diaper backpack riding down her left arm pulling her into a skewed stance – all the while four other mothers (sans children) are watching with a bemused smirk on their faces because they’ve been there and done that.
