An Ode to Teething Rings

Here’s to the ring,
Made of plastic and gel.
Built to withstand
A teething baby hell.

From sweet little angel,
With gums oh so pink!
To two new little teeth,
In which they seek things to sink.

Poor mommy and daddy!
Bites marks on their arms.
They saw the cute baby smile
And fell subject to his charms.

A giggle, a coo!
A sweet little grin.
In a biting contest ,
The tiny tot would sure win.

So we seek to protect
Our skin and our clothes.
As the new little biter,
Wiggles and grows.

We applaud his great effort
At chewing his meals.
But we shove a frozen toy in his mouth
As soon as he squeals.

The great teething ring,
What better a tool!
‘Tis much much better
Than bite marks and drool!

That was a great poem!

Have you tried frozen mini bagels yet? They work wonderfully!
